DIM and Hormone Balance
Is Having a High Estrogen Level Bad?
High levels of estrogen in the body can have negative impacts on health in both men and women. It can cause an increased risk of weight gain, bloating, fertility issues, increased breast tissue growth, certain cancers, and other symptoms/issues.
What is DIM?
DIM stands for diindolylmethane – a compound found in cruciferous vegetables, such as broccoli. It helps our body utilize estrogen more effectively and take it down a healthy pathway instead of a harmful pathway. DIM helps to balance estrogen levels in the body and can support weight management and breast, uterine, cervical, and prostate health, when taken on a daily basis.
Does This Mean I Need to Eat Broccoli Every Day?
Consuming an adequate amount of broccoli to be therapeutic on a daily basis may be achievable for some people, but many others may find that taking DIM supplements as an alternative is an easier option to incorporate into your daily routine.
